Itinerary
Celebrate the "Waltz King's" 200th birthday in a unique way by visiting Vienna and taking in the "Johann Strauss: New Dimensions ART & TECH Museum Experience." This 800-square-meter, multi-media experience provides an engrossing journey via seven consecutive acts that highlight the key moments in Johann Strauss' life.
The show delves extensively into each period and significant events in his life through immersive scenarios, video pieces, and interactive aspects. The "silent exhibition" lets you hear, see, and experience Strauss's artistic highlights and personal journeys up close in around 75 minutes.
You can explore the exhibition in all its dimensions with the help of a GPS-guided audio guide and contemporary motion-sensitive headphones. Furthermore, interactive stations offer chances for creative engagement as a composer, musician or dancer.
Be enthralled with the universe of the first pop star in history and anticipate fresh, never-before-seen perspectives on the life and creative output of Johann Strauss.

How To Reach There? You can take the U1 or U4 subway lines to Karlsplatz station, then walk about 5-10 minutes to Friedrichstraße. Alternatively, you can take the U2 to Museumsquartier station, which is about a 10-minute walk away. Tram lines 1, 62, or the Badner Bahn also stop at Karlsplatz/Oper, just a few minutes' walk from Friedrichstraße. If you prefer the bus, the 59A line goes to Bärenmühldurchgang, and it's a 3-5 minute walk from there.
