The ATV - Black Beach Safari and the Plane Wreck adventure begins at the Arcanum Base, near the Mýrdalsjökull Glacier. Here, you will meet your guide, receive all necessary safety gear, and get a briefing on ATV handling and safety. The guides are experienced and ensure everyone is comfortable before heading out.

Once geared up, you will ride out onto Iceland's iconic black sand beaches. The vast, open landscape is perfect for an exhilarating ATV ride. The guide will lead the group along the coastline, offering stunning views and pointing out notable landmarks like the Dyrhólaey peninsula. As you ride, your guide will provide insights into the area's geology and history. You will have the chance to take in breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including the distant Mýrdalsjökull Glacier, while learning interesting facts about Iceland’s natural wonders.

The ATV - Black Beach Safari and the Plane Wreck tour continues to one of Iceland's most photographed sites, the Sólheimasandur Plane Wreck. This abandoned US Navy aircraft crashed in 1973, and its haunting remains have become a popular destination. Your guide will share the story of the crash and the history behind the wreckage. After exploring the plane wreck, the adventure continues with a ride to the Jökulsá River and up the foot of a nearby mountain. The return journey offers more spectacular views and a final chance to enjoy the thrill of riding an ATV in this unique environment. The ATV - Black Beach Safari and the Plane Wreck tour concludes at the base camp, where you will have time to relax and reflect on the experience. On this adventurous tour experience different landscapes and magnificent Icelandic flatlands.

Please note that single riders and groups with odd numbers are required to book a single- ride ATV.
We suggest packing a warm base layer and/or mid-layer, such as a cozy sweater, along with water-resistant boots.
