Itinerary
The Blue Ice Experience takes us on to the Svínafellsjökull glacier tongue. Svínafellsjökull is a breathtaking outlet glacier of the Vatnajökull glacier and the scenery and views are simply stunning.
Your adventure begins in Skaftafell, where you will meet your certified glacier guide. They will provide you with all the necessary glacier gear, including crampons, a harness, and an ice axe. Your guide will instruct you on how to use the basic and required glacier equipment. Experience the glacier up, close, and personally on an easy walk at an outlet from Europe´s largest glacier, Vatnajökull. As you step onto the glacier, it feels like you have been transported to another planet. The vast expanse of ice stretches out before you with its blue and smoky hues. Your guide leads the way, ensuring your safety and sharing fascinating insights about the glacier.
