Here you will admire his most celebrated masterpiece, the David, carved from a single huge block of rough marble over three years and regarded as an absolute icon of Renaissance beauty. The visit also includes other important works such as I Prigioni, San Matteo, and the Palestrina Pietà, allowing a deeper understanding of Michelangelo’s artistic vision and genius.

After the Accademia, the experience continues with a guided walking tour through the historic center. You will enjoy an outdoor visit to the Church of San Lorenzo and the Duomo complex, including the San Giovanni Baptistery with its famous bronze doors known as the Porta del Paradiso, the Cathedral, Brunelleschi’s magnificent Cupola, and Giotto’s bell tower. The walk proceeds along lively Via Calzaiuoli, where you can admire the imposing Orsanmichele Church, a masterpiece of Florentine Gothic art decorated with statues of the patron saints of medieval trade guilds. Continuing on, you will reach the bustling Mercato della Paglia, where tradition invites you to rub the nose of the famous porcellino and toss a coin into the fountain for good luck. The route then leads to the romantic Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, renowned for its jewelry shops, before arriving at Piazza della Signoria, the political heart of the city. This extraordinary open-air museum features the Fountain of Neptune, the sculptures of the Loggia dei Lanzi such as Cellini’s Perseus and Giambologna’s Rape of the Sabines, and the majestic Palazzo Vecchio with its crenellated Arnolfo tower.

At midday, you will enjoy a typical lunch in a restaurant located in Florence’s old town, offering a pleasant break between the morning and afternoon visits. In the afternoon, the All Florence in one day: Accademia and Uffizi guided visits & walking tour continues with a guided visit to the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most famous art museums in the world.
