Casa Milà, also known as “La Pedrera,” was finished in 1912 and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. In Catalan, the name “La Pedrera” means “The Quarry,” reflecting its rustic look. Like Gaudí's other famous works, such as the Sagrada Família, Park Güell, and Casa Batlló, La Pedrera features organic and natural shapes that follow his style of Catalan Modernism. It also houses the Catalonia La Pedrera Foundation.
