Overview
Breathe deeply and go on an unforgettable voyage at SEA LIFE Brighton. The architect in charge of the West Pier, Eugenius Birch, was the one who conceptualized and created the Brighton Aquarium. We are the world's oldest aquarium still in operation, having started construction in 1869 and opened our doors in 1872!
A cast of gliding rays, twirling tentacles, and shimmering fins awaits you, set against the backdrop of classic Victorian buildings from 1872. The largest collection of sharks and rays in the UK is among them.
Engage in games that allow you to interpret code. Gather trash from the water and educate yourself about conservation. Experience the 24-hour extravaganza of a coral reef and other aquatic wonders in both daytime and nighttime settings with the Day & Night exhibit.
Additionally, you can observe a fish feeding frenzy and handle starfish or anemones! Make sure to wade into this watery wonderland before leaving Brighton. The kids will like it and pick up some new skills as well.
