Itinerary

Enjoy a day trip to York from King's Cross Station. In the London King's Cross Station, you can catch trains to travel all over the UK and even other European countries. First, you must take your train at the King's Cross Station. Do not forget to bring your train tickets with you. You will need them for both your journey to York and your journey back to London. Once you are on board, sit back and relax. You will arrive in York comfortably. This city is like no other in Britain. It is full of magic, charm, and history. Back in Roman times, it was even known as the northern capital.

One of the best ways to see York is by taking the Open Top Bus Tour. You can catch the bus right outside the station. The tour takes you all around the city, showing you its ancient streets, like the famous Shambles. The Shambles is an old street in York, England. It has really old buildings from a long time ago, some from as early as the 14th century, and they have been kept just like they were back then. Also visit the must-see spots like the York Castle Museum and York Minster, a huge cathedral with amazing stained-glass windows. The York Castle Museum not only shows you what old York looked like but also tells you about the prison that used to be there.

The route map shows where the bus goes. It is always good to know where you are headed. After exploring York all day, it will be time to return to London.  So, explore York by both rail and Open Top Bus, get to King's Cross Station on time, enjoy your train journey to York, explore the city with the Open Top Bus Tour, and make sure you are back in time for your return trip to London.
