Itinerary

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London is a must-visit attraction for all Harry Potter fans, with the chance to explore the enchanting world of the Harry Potter film series. This experience begins the moment you step aboard the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London on a branded double-decker bus. Settle into your seat, watch a film on your seat-back screen, and enjoy the ride with the option to upgrade to premium seating at the front for the best views of London. You’ll arrive ready to explore with your studio entry ticket in hand and four full hours inside to lose yourself in the magic of Harry Potter. The adventure starts just as Harry’s did, at the cupboard under the stairs, before you’re welcomed into the Great Hall where real costumes and wigs worn by the cast are on display. From there, wander through sets that bring the stories to life, from the eerie Forbidden Forest and Aragog’s lair to Platform 9¾, where the Hogwarts Express stands exactly as it appeared in the first and last shots of the films. Diagon Alley is another highlight, with Ollivanders Wand Shop lined with over 17,000 individually labelled boxes.

Animatronics make the world feel even more real. You’ll come face-to-face with the Basilisk from The Chamber of Secrets, a creature so large its jaws alone were three feet deep. Buckbeak the Hippogriff is just as impressive, with feathers painstakingly applied one by one across its three incarnations. The artistry behind the films is on full display with the model of Hogwarts Castle, built by 86 artists and crew, and enhanced with fibre optic lights to mimic students moving through corridors. Every detail, down to potion bottles hand-illustrated and newspapers like the Daily Prophet hand-designed, shows the extraordinary craftsmanship behind the scenes. Props are scattered throughout the tour, from the Elder Wand and the Golden Snitch to 950 potion jars in the Potions Classroom and 900 memory vials in Dumbledore’s office. Even Professor Umbridge’s office is recreated with over 130 kitten-covered plates, filmed with real kittens posed with crystal balls, hats, and balls of wool.

Special effects fans will love discovering that the Chamber of Secrets’ slithering door and Gringotts’ intricate bank vault door were fully functioning mechanical pieces, not digital trickery. Green screen also played a big role, and you can even hop on a broom to try your hand at Quidditch yourself. When it’s time for a break, you can sip a butter beer in the Studio’s café, a treat that feels straight out of the Leaky Cauldron. When you’re ready to leave, enjoy the flexibility of returning on any available bus back to London, with final departures from the Studio. Whether you choose standard or premium seating, you’ll travel back knowing you’ve stepped into the heart of filmmaking magic and seen the Wizarding World brought to life in unforgettable detail.
