The first stop is Windsor Castle, an imposing fortress that has been a working royal residence for nearly 1,000 years and was Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite weekend home. Overlooking the River Thames and close to the charming town of Windsor, the castle offers a glimpse into royal life through its lavish State Apartments, where 39 monarchs have lived. Inside, admire priceless artwork by masters such as Leonardo da Vinci and Rembrandt, and explore St George’s Chapel, the royal wedding venue of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and the final resting place of monarchs including Queen Elizabeth II and Henry VIII.

Next, travel on to the world-famous Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain, where you can get up close to the 5,000-year-old Neolithic stones. Standing dramatically in the open landscape, this ancient monument has puzzled historians and experts for centuries. During your visit, discover fascinating theories about its origins and purpose, and explore the exhibition displaying 250 archaeological objects that add further depth to the mystery.
