The sanctuary is an extraordinary collection of architecture built over ten centuries, reflecting the spiritual and political life of the region.

The temples were first made of wood but were destroyed by fire in the 6th century and rebuilt in the 7th century by Sambhuvarman using locally made bricks. By the 13th century, more than 70 temples had been built, establishing My Son as a central hub of Hindu worship in the Champa Kingdom. As you explore, you’ll see temples and towers in various states of preservation, each revealing Hindu influences and offering a glimpse into the past.
