Itinerary

Start your day with a morning departure to Iguassu Falls, located just 24 kilometers from downtown Foz do Iguaçu. Arrive at the Visitors Center, situated at the entrance of the Iguassu National Park, approximately 10 kilometers from the city center. From here, your adventure unfolds.

Venture into the heart of the National Park along a well-paved road leading to the magnificent Iguazu Falls. Embark on an easy one-kilometer boardwalk hike, offering spectacular panoramic views of the falls.  At the end of the trail, be prepared for a breathtaking close-up view of the renowned Devil's Throat and the main waterfalls. For those with a penchant for trekking, the one-kilometer Sendero Verde (Green Trail) connects the Visitors Center to the Cataratas Station and the Upper Circuit.

To reach the iconic Devil's Throat, board the train at either the Main Station or the Cataratas Station, near the Upper Circuit. Experience this unique vantage point and witness the falls' raw power. Take a break for a well-deserved lunch, recharging for the next part of your adventure. After lunch, continue your journey towards the monumental Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam. This colossal structure is a bi-national achievement by Brazil and Paraguay on the Paraná River. Boasting an installed power output capacity of 12.6 million kilowatts, the dam houses 18 generating turbines, each with a capacity of 700,000 kilowatts. Itaipu Dam is responsible for providing 90% of Paraguay's energy and fulfilling 25% of the energy demand in the Brazilian market.

Marvel at the grandeur of the Itaipu Dam with a panoramic tour. This engineering feat has been honored by the American Society of Civil Engineering as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
