Begin your journey by boarding a comfortable coach to take you to Meteora. Sit back and relax, looking out the window, taking in the stunning countryside as you travel and snapping some photos. Meteora is considered as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is located in central Greece and is a breathtaking destination renowned for its dramatic landscapes and ancient monasteries. “Meteora” means “suspended in air,” which describes the amazing rock formations that rise steeply from the Pindus mountain range. These tall cliffs, which formed millions of years ago, create a stunning background for the monasteries that look like they float above the valley below. These monasteries were built starting in the 14th century as places for solitude and religious devotion. Today, six of these monasteries still remain.
 
Upon arrival at Meteora, the tour explores two of the six iconic Eastern Orthodox monasteries perched atop the dramatic rocky pinnacles.
